The Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

I got this recipe from my friend Becky in my old ward in Star. I learned a secret tip i had no idea about.

The Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 C. Shortening
1 C. Sugar
(whip 3-5 mins until fluffy scraping down the side of the bowl in between mixing)
1/2 C. Brown sugar
(whip 3-5 mins)
2 eggs
2 tsp Vanilla
1tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 1/2 c Flour
1 C. Chocolate chips

Combine the dry ingredients in a bowl and set aside. Mix the wet ingredients as says, adding eggs one at a time, mix in dry ingredients and add in the chips. Dough should pull away from the sides of the bowl. My dough has never tasted so yummy!
Bake 375 degrees for 7-9 mins( I baked mine for 7, they were perfect). Makes about 3 dozen plus or minus.

The secret is whipping!

New Recipe Blog

I created this new blog so i could post recipe separate off of my personal blog. I love to cook and find that it is an art to me. I love to find recipes and especially when i find really yummy ones I love to share. To also store for my personal record too. I am kind of more of a semi homemade cook. I find that time is a huge value and so i use lots of canned stuff. I am not really "make my own recipe kind of gal", I get recipes from all over, friends, websites, pinterest and etc. I am excited to share my good finds!
